Somewhere Over the Streets and Houses

This garage owned by a private client in Cotham was due for a lick of paint to freshen it up and so I was asked to come up with a simple, colourful design to breath a bit of fun into the lane it lives in. Having recently been working with colour wheels and light spectrums, I began playing with a simple rainbow graphic and added some rotations and folds to turn it into a brush-stroke style flowing line.

The corrugated surface made a simple design challenging to paint, but also gave the opportunity to fill them in black with raised strips painted white and create bold linear stripes through the background. Lots of brushwork and patience!
