Back in the Dayz - NASS Festival 2022

The making of ‘Back in the Dayz’ mural at @nassfestival 2022.

This one inspired by and dedicated to @gardnauk@catchingcairo and @mungoshifi for their incredible collaboration track Back in the Dayz that’s been on repeat in my head for many months now. I’ve not met these guys and don’t know them personally but feel connected to their vibe via their music so dedicating a piece of my artwork to them feels like I’m giving a bit of my funk back in return for them inspiring me with theirs. Plus I hear Gardna is a Bristol yoot - and any man who can reference the Foul Play remix of Renegade Snares in a track instantly wins my respect - hence the Moving Shadow logo in the middle. (Q - did Gardna mean the Vol.3 10” press, or the VIP edit only available on the Deeper Cut album I wonder…. #selfconfessedjunglistnerd)
